Locally renowned Italian Cafe/Bar Brunetti had recently completed a re-branding and marketing overhaul. Established in 1956, Brunetti had expanded their operations into multiple locations throughout Melbourne, as well as Singapore and Dubai, requiring the brand to appeal to younger audiences and compete amongst an ever-growing industry; while maintaining their traditional Italian flair.
A new logo formed part of the re-fresh, as well as a commissioned illustration to replace the existing black and white photographic murals used; and a modern, but traditional pattern which can be applied across packaging and stationary collateral. My role was to adapt the new style guide and branding devices across all assets; liaising with external printing agencies to create new packaging across the entire range, management of a 20-staff packing team to ensure quality control and consistency of Brunetti’s retail products, creation of visual merchandise plans carried out by a visual merchandise assistant, working closely with the production team to develop and launch new products, overhaul of retail displays and building architecture as well as establishing a collaborative marketing relationship with Nutella, San Pellegrino and Lavazza. The Lavazza launch, and ‘free coffee hour’ held on International Coffee Day, featured on the 6pm news broadcast of Channel 7,9,10, as well as being featured on Channel 10’s ‘The Project’.
